Greenhouse:

Greenhouse is a great hands-on job to work in when students are dedicated to their work! In Greenhouse, students are always keeping busy. During the first trimester, students research hardy, native Northwest plants that grow and thrive in our environment. They order the seeds, weed the area, and prepare the soil for growth. In the second trimester, students plant seeds and maintain the soil and climate in the greenhouse for the best results of the product. The third trimester is dedicated to the care of the mature plants, and the spring sale to the community. This trimester also focuses on marketing, publication, and the sales aspect of a commercial garden.

This job looks for responsible, respectful and trustworthy students to be in this component. Some tasks include pulling weeds, cleaning up the outside of the Greenhouse, organizing tools, maintaining all plants and preparing for future events. It’s important to stay on task in this job.
